Roadmap
What Awning is being built towards. No dates — the order can change, and a date is the part of a plan most likely to turn out wrong.

1.1
Out nowIt edits, it finds, and it tells you before a meeting starts.
- Editing an event without leaving the panel
- Change a title, a time, a location or an alert where you are already looking, instead of opening Calendar to move a meeting by fifteen minutes. Recurring events ask which occurrences you mean, the way they should.
- Search
- Find an event by name across months, with the calendar still above the results — because “when is that thing?” is a question about a date, and a list of hits that does not show you when is only half an answer.
- A warning before a meeting starts
- A notification a few minutes ahead, with the Join button in it. Awning already drains a ring in the menu bar, which only helps if you happen to be looking at it. For the meetings people genuinely miss, there is an opt-in alert that takes the whole screen.
- The other links in an invite
- Awning already digs the video link out of an event. The agenda doc, the brief and the pull request are usually in the same notes, and it walks straight past them.
- A panel as tall as your day
- The divider sets a ceiling rather than a height, so an empty day is short and a crowded one grows to the most room you said you would give it.

1.2
In progressA second kind of thing to track, and working with the rest of the Mac.
- Apple Reminders
- Reminders alongside events, in the same day. It is a second entity, a second permission and a second thing the app is about, which is why it is its own release rather than a line in someone else’s.
- A timeline of the day
- The day as a single column with its gaps visible, rather than a list. It waits for Reminders because a timeline built from events alone shows half of what you have on.
- Focus Filters
- Pick, per Focus, whether Awning interrupts you and which calendars it shows. You set it in System Settings next to every other app’s, so Awning gains the behaviour without gaining a settings pane.
- Shortcuts
- Join the next meeting, ask what is on a given day, open Awning on a date — as actions you can put in your own shortcuts. Automation is the one kind of configurability that does not make the app itself more complicated, because it lives outside it.
Shipped versions and what changed in them are on the release notes. Something you need that isn’t here? Tell us — it is a short list and it is not fixed.
